Description
This Vmec model is a representation of the Sijnja astronomical clock. The Meccano original has been made in 1944-45. Over the years several additions were made, the latest one, the Easter Date, being added in the 1970's.
Most of the engagements are working, so you can get a picture of all the movements of this elaborate model.
With thanks to the son of Mr. Sijnja, who kindly provided me photos and a lot of documents. Further big thanks to the Virtual Meccano team for the software, which has been a true gift to the Meccano community.
