Description
The Virtual Mec model is based on a Meccano gear cutting machine made by the very talented Mr. Piet Leemans. Piet Leemans unfortunately passed away a couple of years ago at age 93.
In reality, the green fork piece is a round 4mm modified cutting tool, to cut the teeth of a blank bevel.
I have seen this machine in operation and it works absolutely flawless. Mr Leemans was an instrument maker by profession at the TNO corporation.
