Description
The Do Nothing Machine is in fact the arrangement used to draft elipses (an ellipsograph).
A pen held at the center of its handle knob will draw any size of ellipse within the reach of its dimension.
The 2 variables are: the distance between the 2 slider's pivots and the distance between the handle knob and the slider's pivot at the end of the handle beam.
It was possible to motorize the machine with circular motion by holding the handle beam at the mid point between slider's pivots.
